We will always aim to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Bookings & Cancellation Policy

Children

We can accommodate children but we do not have the facilities to be 'Child Friendly'. Please email or ring to discuss your requirements if there are children in your party.

Pets

Sorry, we are unable to accommodate pets of any type.

Online

The online booking forms should be completed as indicated.

We ask for a credit card number to be stored securely when an online booking is made
but we don’t take a deposit.

By telephone or text

When a booking is made, we ask for the full name and address of the lead guest,
the names of additional guests and the ages of any children under 18. We also ask for a contact telephone number and an email address in order to confirm the booking.

We may ask for card details and once a booking has been confirmed
our cancellation policy applies as with online bookings (see below).

Cancellation Policy

We don’t charge for a cancellation which is notified by email or telephone and acknowledged
as received by us up to 6pm two days before arrival (eg due to arrive Thursday 21st, we need to know by 6pm on Tuesday 19th). Cancellations made after that will be charged at the full rate for the first night’s stay (eg two people stay for 4 nights at £78 = £312 late cancellation charge will be £78; two people stay for one night at £78, late cancellation charge = £78).

Except for very exceptional circumstances and then at our discretion,
once a booking has begun there is no refund for nights not used if your stay is cut short.

For our part, we would only cancel your stay if the accommodation became unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In that event we would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation and if this was not possible or our offer was unacceptable to you, we would refund in full any monies already paid by you. Except in exceptional circumstances, our liability would not extend beyond the refund.

Checking in and checking out

Normal check-in times are between 4-7pm but we can often allow different times by arrangement.
We ask our guests to confirm their expected time of arrival within 24 hours either by text,
email or phone, especially if this is significantly different to that made by special arrangement.
This is to make sure we are here to let you in! Early check-ins may be possible, again by arrangement and for these, if the room you are staying in is not ready we may be able to sign you in, store bags or allow parking and give a key for access later.

Normal check-out time is around 10am - no later than 11am. We are often able to allow guests to park until later in the day, but we ask you to clear your rooms so we can prepare them for the next guests.

Smoking

There is no smoking anywhere in the house.

Special requests and requirements

We attempt to accommodate special dietary requirements and disabilities where possible and ask for prior notification of these needs. Please ask if you wish to know our breakfast ingredients. There is no feather bedding or upholstery in any of our rooms.

Parking

Whilst we accept guests’ vehicles on our site, parking and storage of these is at your own risk.

Cars and small vans

Off-Street

We have two off-street parking spaces available for guests on the gravel drive in front of the house. We can also usually offer parking on the drive in front of the house next door which also belongs to our family. We ask our guests to be considerate when parking to allow access for the vehicles of other guests.

On-Street

There are marked parking bays on the road with restrictions of 2 hours and no return within one hour from 8am – 6pm Monday – Saturday inclusive. There are no restrictions between 6pm and 8am or on Sundays.

Pedal Cycles and Motorbikes

We have a limited number of storage spaces in our covered bike shed which we offer at no charge
but these must be booked in advance. For motor cycle users, please ring or email to discuss your requirements for parking.

Feedback

We always welcome feedback, reviews and comments. If something is not to your liking while you are staying with us, please do ask as we will always do our best to facilitate reasonable requests.
